How Anchored Security Window Film Works (Dowsil 995 Install Process)

How it works

The full process. Nothing hidden.

Measurement, certified film, structural anchor, documentation. This is what a real Impact Guard install looks like, explained end to end.

01The certified system

A measurable spec, not a marketing claim.

Every install starts from a documented spec: film thickness, certification standard, cure timeline. None of these are numbers we made up. They come from the manufacturer and Underwriters Laboratories, and they're the numbers your broker will see on the paperwork when we're done.

12-mil

Security film thickness - multiple times the standard commercial film.

02The process

Three steps. No hidden work.

From the first phone call to a fully protected property, this is the entire path. Nothing happens on install day that isn't in the written quote you signed.

01

Assess

We walk every opening on your property and measure to the edge of each frame. You get a written fixed quote on the spot. No moving numbers on install day.

02

Install

Our crew installs certified 12-mil security film with a structural anchor at the frame. Residential in a day, commercial in 2 to 4 hours.

03

Protected

Working bond inside 24 hours, full structural cure in three to four weeks. You leave with the documentation for your records and your broker file.

03Why we do it best

Our install bonds to the frame. That changes everything.

Most security film sits on the glass and stops at the edge. One focused hit and the whole pane pops out, film and all. Our install uses a structural silicone (Dowsil 995) to bond the film directly to the window frame, which turns glass, film, and frame into one connected unit.

That bond is what creates 5 to 10+ minutes of real forced-entry resistance. It's also why our film still holds when cheaper installs fail.

04The crew at work

An anchored install is deliberate.

Every opening measured. Every edge detailed. Every frame anchored. The thing a camera can show that a spec sheet cannot is the pace and care of the work.

05See it in action

Watch the film take a hit.

Third-party footage from other installers and manufacturers testing the same film category we install. We didn't stage any of this. The beatings are real, the film is the film.
