Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out the contact or quote form on this site, we collect your name, email address, phone number, property address, and any details you include in your message. We only collect what you voluntarily provide.
Information collected automatically
When you visit impactguard.ca, our analytics and advertising services may record your general location, pages visited, device or browser information, campaign tags and browser identifiers. We use these signals to understand site usage and measure advertising performance.
How we use your information
To respond to inquiries
We use the contact details you provide to follow up on quote requests and answer questions. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.
To improve the site
Analytics data helps us understand which pages are useful and where the site can be improved. Advertising measurement helps us understand which campaigns lead to quote requests.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Third-party services
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. Google may collect and process data as described in its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Hosted infrastructure
Your form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in our customer relationship management system to respond to your inquiry and manage the client relationship.
Advertising measurement
We use Meta Pixel and Google Ads to measure advertising performance, including when a quote request is successfully submitted. These providers may associate browser activity with their own accounts according to their privacy policies.
Google enhanced conversions
When you submit a quote request, we share the email address and phone number you entered with Google in hashed form (converted in your browser into a one-way code using SHA-256, so the original details are not sent) as part of Google Ads enhanced conversions. Google uses this only to match the request to an ad interaction and to report and improve ad measurement, under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. We do not share your name, address or project notes this way.
Data retention
Contact and quote requests
We retain contact form submissions for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage the client relationship and for standard business record-keeping. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Analytics data
Aggregated analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default retention settings (14 months by default). This data does not identify individual users.
Your rights
Access and correction
You can request a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate. Email us at info@impactguard.ca to make a request.
Deletion
You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time. We will fulfil requests within a reasonable timeframe unless we are required by law to retain the data.
Withdrawal of consent
If you have provided consent for any processing, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
